OCTOBER 2023 EVENT WITH PARTICULAR GRATITUDE TO THE PONZA MUNICIPALITY

Nei rinnovati e accoglienti spazi della sala polivalente “Carlo Pisacane” trasformata in un accogliente cinema, si sono svolti il 2 e 3 ottobre 2023 i “Ponza Film Awards”. Oltre ad ospitare artisti, autori e interpreti internazionali e nazionali dei film selezionati, isolani e turisti hanno partecipato con entusiasmo alla manifestazione cinematografica.
La manifestazione si è aperta il 2 ottobre con la proiezione di “Confinati a Ponza”, il film di Francesco Maria Cordella, che ha avuto un tale riscontro di pubblico da essere riproposto il giorno successivo, vox populi. Alla proiezione serale del 3 hanno partecipato, oltre a numerosi spettatori, anche il sindaco Franco Ambrosino e l’assessore Mariano De Luca.
Il sindaco ha elogiato la manifestazione, elogiando e ringraziando gli organizzatori, e nel dare appuntamento alla prossima II edizione 2024 dei Ponza film Awards, ha espresso l’intenzione di continuare a offrire sostegno alla manifestazione per farla crescere nel tempo.
L’elenco dei premiati è stato stilato da Michele Princigalli e Filippo Ceci, direttori artistici in collaborazione con Actstheater.
A “Confinati a Ponza” è stata assegnata la Menzione Speciale Cortometraggio. Fuori concorso è stato anche “Il Perdono” di Marcello Cotugno, interpretato dal bravissimo Lino Musella, che ha ricevuto una Menzione Speciale per il regista.
The “Ponza Film Awards” was held on October 2 and 3, 2023 in the renovated and cozy space of the multipurpose hall “Carlo Pisacane” transformed into a cozy cinema. Besides hosting international and national artists, authors and performers of the selected films, islanders and tourists enthusiastically participated in the film event.
The event opened on Oct. 2, with the screening of “Confinati a Ponza,” the film by Francesco Maria Cordella, which received such a response from the audience that it was shown again the next day, vox populi. The evening screening on the 3rd was attended not only by numerous spectators but also by Mayor Franco Ambrosino and Councilor Mariano De Luca.
The mayor praised the event, praising and thanking the organizers, and in making an appointment for the next II edition 2024 of the Ponza film Awards, expressed his intention to continue to offer support to the event to make it grow over time.
The list of awardees was compiled by Michele Princigalli and Filippo Ceci, artistic directors in collaboration with Actstheater.
“Confined to Ponza” was awarded the Special Mention, Short Movie. “Il Perdono” by Marcello Cotugno, starring the very talented Lino Musella, was another out-of-competition film and received a Special Mention for the director.
